"A Tribute From An Airforce & Firemen's Mom"
My son Kurt was and will always be A Fireman!
Kurt felt that it was his calling from an early age,
But like most parents,I thought it was just a "childhood dream".
Little did I know that he would not only grow and become a Fireman but also a EMT in our community.
He did this as a volunteer for years...
Kurts teacher,Mrs.Penny Kelly is an awe inspiring woman and she took his hand and lead him in this direction with such style and grace, We are so lucky to still have her as a teacher in our community,and she still teaches children the importance
of saving lives and helping fellow human beings.
She Is A True Hero.
As I sit here today and write this I want to take this time to Honor All Our Heroes,Military And Civilians....
~~~~~~~~~~
Our communities all across America are full of them...
We may be standing next to one and have no clue...
Because you see they Are The Unsung Heroes...
The ones who teach our children...
And the many we meet in our everyday lives...
And then there are the the ones who willingly
run into buildings that are falling or burning,
Or being terrorized,Our Fire Fighters...
And our Police Officers also are wounded
or killed protecting us and serving us everyday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
On 9/11 our country lost 72 police officers and 343 firefighters who were trying to help save lives against insurmountable odds,
if you ask any of the surviving Police or Firemen of that horrendous and heartbreaking day they will say to you that
"They Were Just Doing Their Jobs"...
How Do You Replace Such Heroism?
How Do We Honor Them All,Living Or Killed?
To Me It Means Never Forget Them!!!
Never Let The World Forget Them!!!
Make sure every American young and old remember
and know about them FOREVER!!!!
Make sure Every foreign country all over the world know
We have Heroes We Cherish,We honor our Heroes,We Will Never Allow Ourselves or Anyone Anywhere To Forget
Our Heroes,
And We Can And Will ALWAYS Have A
Special Place For Our Heroes!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
My son Kurt joined the U.S.Airforce the year he died,
He was on active duty when killed.
He was proud & honored serving his country...
He felt that it to was his calling...
"God Bless The U.S.A"
by
Lee Greenwood
If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars
to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away.
I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota
to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas
from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston
and New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart
and it's time we stand and say:
I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
